Hi all. A festival friend of mine and I agreed we should go to a fest in NYC together. I booked the hotel already, We bought tickets in December, I booked a flight around the same time and told her to take her time and lmk when she was ready to book hers. Well months passed and when I went to peek at flight fares I noticed there was only 1 seat left in my flight. Knowing she’s def not ready to book yet…I canceled with a credit refund so that we could book together and at least be on the same plane. Well… more months has passed. She landed a new job 3 weeks ago…. And the flights from where we’re at went from $330 to $550 🥴
Now, this does get me upset. Because I’m a newer traveller and like to have plans set in stone. I messaged her today to solidify plans soon and I’m waiting on a response.
Part of me is very annoyed this has happened. It makes me want to go completely solo send because I hate waiting on people. Just looking for some advice :/
