I'm trying to install Windows 11 on my Lenovo LOQ 15APH8 (AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, RTX 4060, Micron MTFDKCD512QFM NVMe SSD) by booting from a USB drive created with Ventoy.
Every time I boot into the Windows 11 installer, it skips the normal installation screens and goes straight to "Install driver to show hardware" with the error "No drivers were found". It never shows the disk selection screen.
What I've tried:
I'm using (LINUX MINT)
- Created the USB with
ddand with Ventoy - BIOS Storage Controller Mode is already set to AHCI
- Tried loading AMD Chipset drivers from the USB but no .inf files were found
- The NVMe disk is visible in Linux (Micron MTFDKCD512QFM 512GB)
- Secure Boot settings checked
System specs:
- Lenovo LOQ 15APH8
- AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS
- NVIDIA RTX 4060 Laptop
- Micron MTFDKCD512QFM 512GB NVMe
- Currently running Linux Mint
Has anyone solved this? Is there a specific NVMe driver I need to load during Windows 11 installation?
