I'm not sure if anyone else is feeling this way. I've been at a small, very laid-back LAC, but I'd like to transfer as I might make more friends and do better academically elsewhere. However, I'm worried I just don't have the look for any of these schools, even though I'm not shooting for the SEC or anywhere beachy in California.
Whenever I look at the transfer students or c/o 2030 page, it seems that everyone else is more attractive and put-together. I wonder if I'll have an even harder time making friends at a new school because of this, especially because I feel like I'd be too embarrassed to post anything about myself of any of these pages if I were to get accepted somewhere. Does anyone else feel this way?

I stayed close to home to go to Mount Holyoke, and now as I'm finishing up a really sad second year, I'm hoping for a fresh start elsewhere. Looking for cheap southern schools that will take a lower GPA like mine. I do have some club leadership and volunteering and will be able to get at least one LOR, but that's it.
