Every infected person on the Hanavirus ship should not be allowed to leave.

This disease has a 50% death rate gang. These people are infected because they made the stupid choice of playing stupid games, and they won a stupid prize.

If it was up to me, a couple planes would fly out and 20 minutes later the boat will be 500 miles underwater. Ain't no way I'm trying to deal with this.

I genuinely don’t understand the reaction to the hantavirus ship situation. If people onboard are potentially infected with a contagious disease, then yes, they should remain quarantined until officials determine it’s safe. That is literally how quarantine works.

During COVID, people defended lockdowns, isolation, travel restrictions, vaccine passports, businesses being shut down, and people being forced to stay home “for public safety.” But now the second a ship is told to remain isolated temporarily, suddenly everyone acts like quarantine is some evil human rights violation.

I’m not even saying this to be edgy. If there’s a risk of spreading a dangerous illness, containment should come before comfort. That’s common sense. You can’t spend years saying “trust the science” and then completely switch up because the visuals are dramatic and emotional.

Either quarantine matters during outbreaks or it doesn’t.

Aliens come to earth, wanting to enslave humanity. There's two buttons: Black and Blue.

The aliens will take everyone back to their country and treat them like livestock. Human meat is juicy. Along with enslaving them to work until death.

Black button saves two random people from this fate (guaranteed to not be yourself). It's also confirmed to not pick someone that has already been saved. Black will only save someone who is currently doomed. Those who picked blue button are less likely to be saved

Blue button has a 1 in 8 billion chance of killing all aliens and protecting humanity.

Everyone above the age of 10 is given a button to press. Nobody is allowed to influence another person's vote, because the vote happens at once. To everyone at once at the same time. And they're given 1 minute to decide. Until you decide you only see black and hear nothing (it's a decision you make in your head)

Which button do you press and why?

Mihawk, Crocodile, and that Dragon guy seem to be some of the most powerful / influential characters introduced by far. But to my knowledge all of them had their bounties cancelled.

Why??

There's some mention of the warlords being given free rein to keep other pirates in check but that makes ZERO SENSE because they aren't even doing that. Both Crocodile and Mihawk are betraying the world government, crocodile with trying to overthrow them, and Mihawk by disobeying orders from Garp.

It just makes more sense to kill them.

What does this partnership entail?

You're handed two buttons.

Innocent, and guilty.

Pick one. Whichever you pick, your curse lasts a month.

If you choose the innocent button, you're locked in a steel cage room. It has no holes, no way to escape. There's also no way to entertain yourself. At random times every day, water slowly fills up to the top. All the way to the top. It suffocates you just enough, and then the water slowly drains. You're guaranteed to survive the first flooding every day, so you won't die. After that a meal is teleported to you. A good meal. Main dish, side dish, drink, desert. A really good meal.

If you pick the guilty button, you're locked in a normal house. It has a TV, entertainment, games, activities, but of course you're still a prisoner. Whenever you want food, you must click a red button. Upon clicking the red button, the TV turns on to the Innocent room. There, you'll witness your button press directly causing the innocent person to suffer and get tortured. You control their fate. But remember, if you don't press it, neither of yall can eat. Food only comes after the button is pressed, for both of yall.

After the month, the innocent person gets 2 million dollars and the guilty gets 1 million dollars. Both tax free. Neither are allowed to share the prize pool with each other. BUT if the guilty kills the innocent on the final day somehow, he gets all the money to himself.

What will you do? Create a strategy for innocent and guilty.

EDIT: To keep things spicy, let's say only you get a choice. The other person is a random person of the opposite gender, in a similar age range, grabbed from the street. They have no idea what's going on, except the rules of their room only. No background knowledge of you or anything. Does this change anything?

???

This is a conversation I had with a friend just now. I'm not a native speaker. For additional context, I'm a woman, and so is she.

I called her and said it's fine and she could but I don't know what it means I was just worried she might've caught on that i wasn't a native speaker if asked too many questions.

What does this mean?
