Estrogen+Testoterone cream

so I finally found a gyno who was willing to write me a script for compounded E+T cream.

he initially put me on DHEA intrarosa but it was nightly and we weren’t sure if it was adding to my irritation and vestibule dermatitis.

I have Vulvodynia from reoccurring thrush/YI & BV. thrush has gone. BV was still present at my last Juno bio test.

with the E+T cream he said to just trial twice à wk to see how I react. he hadn’t prescribed this combination before so was also unsure if I use it internally well as on the vestibul. does anyone know? I’m also in perimenopause so I need Estrogen cream regardless and that’s always internally and externally.

I’very been on this viscous cycle for a while, almost a year. these are my option, but which should I do?? would love advice??

long story short started with reoccurring yeast infections(cyclical) negative now&on longterm itraconazole until all is truly sorted out.

then came along bv, no fishy smell&only test positive with juno so I go by symptom which are watery whitish discharge, itch and redness.

MY OPTIONS

1)gynos advice last cycle this happened. is to treat it in Luteal phase (pre period is when my symptoms now begin)with 2-3 x Clindamycin as a preventative and management. but I haven’t done this yet as I had zero protective bacteria so went in with vaginal and oral probiotics. felt symptoms improve but not totally ever go away.

2)naturopaths advice is to concentrate on building good bacteria by using vaginal probiotics and vaginal Estrogen(I’m on DHEA ) and try to avoid antibiotic where possible.

because i use DHEA intrarosa pessary nightly I was having to do vaginal probiotics in the morning but eventually the slightly grainy discharge from lifespace microflora probiotics started causing friction and flared dermatitis in the vestibule 🫠 so for the last week or so I stopped doing them vaginally and did 2x orally am&pm but yeh now my BV symptoms are creeping in. and I know when it’s getting worse because I get a dusty red vulva skin/labia and then the itch/burn becomes intense.

*I have vestibulodynia from yeast infection and dermatitis from topicals now. so it’s always a fun guessing game of what is my vagina doing today?? But everything is being treated from all aspects.

my issue at this moment is how to go in to tackle this bv?

I’ve been using period underwear for 8yrs and really loved them but the last 8months my pain is worse from my period blood. theres a few contributing factors, vulva dermatitis being my main issue, hormones(perimenopause) and skin barrier really took a beating after multiple rounds of topical thrush/bv treatment on top of topical nerve creams. my vulva can’t take much more.

but I’m curious if a disc will be uncomfortable make internal pain more/annoy the nerves.

anyone use discs? or have these issues/solutions?

I’ve posted before and find everyone’s advice and experiences helpfu.

has anyone experienced vulva dermatitis from peri menopause?

it’s not the single reason but I never had this before ever! but after getting thrush and BV constantly from the beginning of perimenopause and vaginal gsm, I had a labia biopsy and it came back with contact or irritant dermatitis. I use everything fragrance and irritant free, following all the dermatitis guidelines, dermeze ointment barrier and hesitantly had to use steroid ointment which helped. But a week later it’s back 😭😫

im currently on DHEA intrarosa pessaries and Im thinking the next morning’s discharge from the pessary is irritating the vestibule and just having a constant morning discharge isn’t ideal.
