Despite all the hard parts, what are you most thankful for about your newborn?

For me, I am so thankful that my girl sleeps well in the bassinet. I know so many parents lose hours of sleep trying to get their kiddos to sleep and they wake up every time they are put down.

We put breastfeeding on hold and are giving our baby Enfamil Gentlease. A NEW HAPPY BABY!!!!! It’s a game changer!

Stop there or I’m pumping for 10 days to keep my supply up and going to an allergen free/anything that would give baby gas diet. Ask ChatGPT to make you a meal plan. Then I’ll try switching one bottle a day back to breast milk and see how it goes. Godspeed

Mom cut out dairy
Short, frequent feeds (1 boob every 1.5-2 hrs)
5 min massage/bicycle kicks every hour
Gas drops every 2 hours
Probiotic drop each day

Who knows if it was one of these things, all of them, or none of them! But in 1 day we saw a happier baby that tooted and pooped way more than the previous few weeks. Hope this helps!

What did you do that made a difference with your baby’s gas?

For those who used the gas relief tool on your colicky baby often, did they end up being able to create a mature directive system eventually?

They say you shouldn’t overdo it with these because babies need to learn how to get gas out on their own, which I get, but I’m curious how it worked out for those who used this tool a lot.

Thanks!
