Bf mad we have weekend plans

My boyfriend gets annoyed anytime I tell him we have plans on the weekend. He’ll say things like it “ruins the whole day” or that we “have no time to do anything.”

For example, today we’re going to my parents’ house for Easter lunch. When I told him the time, he said “awesome, that leaves us no time to do anything” and has been moping ever since.

It makes me feel guilty for doing normal things like seeing my family, and it’s frustrating because it’s not like the whole day is gone.

Has anyone dealt with this? How would you handle it?

Edit: to answer some questions, he was well aware of these plans as I had told him earlier this week. I always ask if he is okay with the plan & he did state that he was. Even if he knows the plan and knows it’s coming he tends to still get mad the day of & says things like “id rather be relaxing than doing stupid ___”. It happens all the time, another example was when I told him my cousins wanted to get lunch, he knew ahead of time, agreed about it & then argues the day of saying that the plan is stupid etc. I understand he works all week, so do I. He’d rather spend his weekend relaxing and sitting at home playing video games, which mind you, he has already spent all morning doing!
