Hi all,

Looking to pick up my first EV and trying to keep the budget around £15k max (used market).

My rough requirements:

• Ideally 200+ miles real-world range (or as close as possible)
• Not too big – hatchback size is fine
• Decent reliability / low running costs
• Fast charging would be a bonus

Not sure how realistic those are at this budget though, especially for decent spec / mileage.

From what I’ve seen, older options like Leaf etc are well within budget but seem a bit limited on range unless you get newer versions .

A couple of questions:

• What would you go for in this price range right now?
• Anything I should avoid completely?
• How much should I worry about battery degradation when buying used?

For context, this would be mostly commuting + occasional longer trips, and I should be able to install a home charger.
