▲ 2 r/PVCs

Hi, I’ve had PVCs since 2021. At first, it wasn’t a cause for concern, but it was scary.

Now, in 2026, I’m 21 years old. Sometimes I have episodes, and other times I go days without any symptoms.

The problem is that recently, in addition to the normal PVCs, there are some that cause me discomfort and even pain.

Imagine your heart beating very strongly out of nowhere, and right away you feel a sensation of pain in your chest—and that sensation of pain causes you absurd fear... For me, it’s not normal to feel this pain.

I don’t have many PVCs on a daily basis, but the problem isn’t the number—it’s how much they affect me

Sometimes I’m completely fine, and then this sensation literally ruins my day, my mood, my sleep, and my quality of life

I would honestly have surgery without a second thought; I’m afraid they’ll just prescribe medication to control the symptoms and not the cause of the extrasystoles

The problem is, I already lead a healthy lifestyle and my blood tests are normal

I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do anything wrong, but even so, I have it—actually, I wouldn’t even mind having it if I didn’t have symptoms like chest pain and discomfort, as well as random episodes (for no apparent reason) where I have an attack

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that feeling pain is "normal"
