Hi everyone,
We went out of town for a week and turned the ice machine off before leaving. We turned it on when we came back and it is not working. A few details:
- We have a 16 year old french door GE Profile refrigerator that somehow got a Samsung ice maker replacement 10 years ago.
- I’ve turned it off and on several times.
- I’ve pressed the test button a few times and heard water running through it (the first time) and things clicking/happening. The arm in the pictures also moved down then back up, and I hear a chime at the end of the test cycle.
- That arm seems to be mechanically locked in the up position. I can’t manually move it back down. Maybe it thinks the bin is full?
- The water line doesn’t appear to be frozen, there are no ice obstructions, etc.
I know the fridge and ice maker are probably on borrowed time, but I’d like to squeeze every last bit of life out of them if possible.
Any advice is appreciated!
