I turn 40 very soon, and I thought it was high time that I put together a jacket featuring every band I've loved or seen live in my 27 years on the scene. Some of the patches are homemade, acrylic paint on denim I salvaged from the sleeves, where bands either didn't have patches available or were prohibitively expensive. This is my bestie playing guitar in my house 25 years ago — she turns 40 soon and recently started playing guitar again to help cope with the loss of her mother. I’d love to get her a good copy of this photo, just to remind her how far she’s come, but she’s still kinda insecure about her ears — could someone please move her hair to cover her ears and maybe straighten her bangs out a little?
