22M Hoping to meet new friends with similar interests!
To introduce myself, I moved to Oregon in 2024 from the East Coast. I love the natural scenery and the community here. I am hoping to meet people, make friends, and share some good company now that I’m comfortably settled. I’ve read past posts like these, but I thought it’d be worth a try making a post more recent. I’m looking at clubs and events that I can join to be more involved in the community. I know Capital Pride list local events, so I’m gonna check that out.
I enjoy rotating between activities/hobbies:
-Drawing, scrapbooking, writing & journaling, and reading.
-Finally got a library card and I love spending time there.
-Video games, just not as often when playing alone. I do also like board games.
-Cooking and trying new recipes.
-420 friendly, nature walks.
-Love listening to music.
-Spoken Word Poetry, it’s been a minute but I’m looking at open mics.
-There’s more, but these are my main ones. I’m open to trying new experiences unless I know for certain it’s not for me.
When I’m not working, I like to spend my time walking in downtown Salem, stopping at local coffee shops and sitting down to write/read, hanging out at parks and enjoying the natural environment (I’ll journal while listening to music). I don’t care to spend money when I go out, I’m pretty happy just exploring and appreciating the moment. If there’s any clubs/events to check out, I’m totally open to learning more since I might not be aware of it :) Thank you!
