How to handle a far one way drive?

Just joined, first task is asking to haul a mattress a one hour drive away from my task area. I’d only make $60 but then would be spending another hour driving back… my understanding is I can’t expense gas or just my time for that drive back since you have to upload a receipt and it can’t be a gas/wear/tear expense. How is that approached? Do I tell them I get compensated for my drive back and then keep the clock running or whatever? I doubt they want to pay $100 though.. just feels like I’d be kind of screwed with how expensive gas is rn

Husband bailed on me/mortgage/animals. Been past due on bills and scraping by for months, I am on schedule to finally catch up in June but have one last struggle month to get through. I’ve already got a good FT job, am starting another PT job this weekend, and have an interview lined up for a third PT job to really just pack in as much work as I can manage. I started selling my stuff on eBay/CL and have had some luck on eBay but won’t get the payouts until later in the week maybe next. Down to $20 and have no gas or food. Looking for at least $100 ideally $500 that can be paid back in a week or two depending on when I get the funds from the sells. Have Venmo, Cashapp, and PayPal. Please don’t try to scam me 🥹 I’m so burnt out I need some faith in humanity.
