Posting because this is now the third time Anthropic billing has failed to post credits I've paid for, and I want to see if anyone else has hit the same thing.
Three transactions, all charged to my card, none landed in any balance:
24 March 2026 - £6.00 Claude.ai chat top-up. Did not post.
24 March 2026 - £6.00 Claude.ai chat top-up, attempted again the same day. Also did not post.
5 May 2026 - $30.00 Console API credit purchase. Invoice marked 'Paid'. Console balance still reads $2.13 forty-five minutes after purchase.
Money has left my Mastercard in all three cases. Every invoice shows as Paid. Credits have not appeared in either the Claude.ai balance or the Console API balance.
I've sent a formal complaint to support@anthropic.com asking for refunds of all three transactions, a root cause investigation (in case credits are landing in a stale org tied to my email), and written confirmation of what's been done to stop recurrence. I've given them five working days before I raise chargebacks with my card provider under the Visa/Mastercard scheme rules.
Two questions for the sub:
Has anyone else had credits paid for but never posted to a balance? If so, what was the cause and how did you get it resolved?
Is there a faster escalation path for business accounts than support@anthropic.com? I'm pay-as-you-go on the API rather than Team or Enterprise, so I don't know if there's a priority support channel.
