I’m thinking about what might be the absolute hardest challenge in the game and maybe this is it: a run where you try to eradicate every single character until almost no one is left alive.
I assume the basic strategy would require you to first achieve a World Conquest, and then revoke and personally hold every single holding on the map.
The goal would be to completely destroy all other courts to minimize the number of characters and stop new courtiers from spawning. Once you are the sole landowner in the world, you just start executing/murdering whoever is left.
But what about the unlanded titles?
Even if you own the entire map, there are still:
* The Pope/High Priests
* Mercenary Companies
* Holy Orders
These titles seem to continuously auto-generate new characters to fill their ranks.
If reaching exactly 1 living character (or maybe even 0 if you die at the right time) is hardcoded to be impossible, the true challenge becomes:
What is the absolute lowest number of living characters you can possibly reach in a single save?
Has anyone ever attempted something like this? Are there any known glitches or exploits to permanently destroy mercenary companies or unlanded Head of Faith titles to stop the game from spawning new NPCs?
Is it easier to do in CK2 just because the map is smaller?
What do you guys think about this?
