Minor Discrepancy in PDF Name for Submittal

Minor Discrepancy in PDF Name for Submittal

I am reviewing my submittal for the Award / Agreement forms and noticed that there was a discrepancy between what is listed on the Online Form and the actual PDF document.

On the Online Form is states the following:

However on the scholarship form, it states the following :

  • d. Scan the two signed documents and create one Adobe PDF, with the Award / Agreement on top.
  • e. Title the PDF as follows: First your HSFID followed by your Last Name, underscore, First Name, underscore, 2026 Award-Agreement. Example Only: 15000 Smith_John_2026 Award-Agreement

The main difference is the added dash (-) in the PDF name. On my submittal, I just left my PDF title without the dash/hyphen as was shown on the Online Form, but I don't know how significant this is. What way did you all format the PDF name? I am assuming it won't be a big deal but I won't take my chances.

Changes in Financial Aid Offer and Using New UN/PW

I am currently filling out my Award Agreement Form and was notified that I received a $2,000 external scholarship as well as a $100 scholarship on my revised Financial Aid Offer. Since I got this scholarship after the initial supplemental information submission, and I will still have remaining COA left over, I wanted to confirm that I should still accept the external scholarship and send an email out in order to notify HSF of my change in COA?

Additionally, I noticed that they require a new username and password to open the Online Form. I haven't made any new usernames or passwords since the form allows you to continue as a New User by logging into your previous Google email address.

Would I just continue as a new user by logging into the previous email address that I have used to fill out the previous forms, or should I use a different email address for this form?

I have submitted my supplemental information and am currently reviewing my documents again to see if I made any mistakes before the deadline passes (I am assuming we still have the ability to make changes to the application before the deadline passes?). I noticed on the initial Finalist Information Request email that they sent out to finalists that they had specific instructions on how to format emails when emailing HSF, such as 17003 Smith_John_Transcript for the Subject Line, similar to the names of documents sent on the online form.

I didn't format my emails like this when I reached out for questions, and was wondering if this would affect my chances, as I know the application is incredibly strict regarding reading instructions and fine details.

I recently reached out to the scholarship email contact to ask how to send in tax returns for the Supplemental Information Application since my parents were divorced, and was told to send the 2023 & 2024 Tax Returns for both parents and to fill out two separate Parent Financial Statement Forms for both parents since they shared joint custody.

On the online Formsite application, however, there is a box that requires "Family Income 2023", "Family Income 2024", and "Family Net Worth" under the Family Information section of the online form.

Since there is no option to fill out the adjusted gross income for each parent separately, I am unsure if I am being asked to combine the AGI from both parents or just the custodial parent.

I plan on emailing them further about this, but would like to know if anyone else has stumbled upon this issue as well.
