How can you ask a counsellor/therapist to change how they approach you?
I've been seeing a counsellor for a little while now (I think we've had like 9/10 sessions) and I really like her but I feel like she doesn't press me enough. When I bring it up, she just says she wants me to lead the session but I've just been skirting around the issue I really want to talk about. I'd rather she just ask me questions or interrogate me or something instead. Is this too unreasonable to ask for or is it not the point of therapy or something? I really like her and I don't want her to stop seeing me so idk what to do. Any advice would be welcome
Edit: I'm 17 by the way if that helps. And I'm also in the UK if that changes anything (but it is not an NHS counsellor)
