XREAL One Pro ultrawide mode does not work on AMD Linux

I’m trying to use an XREAL One Pro on Arch Linux with an AMD system, and normal mode works perfectly, but switching the glasses into ultrawide mode causes the display to completely disappear from Linux.

What I observed:

  • In normal mode, the glasses appear as a connected DP display with 1920x1080 modes available
  • The moment I switch to ultrawide mode, my machine stops recognizing the external display. After a while XREAL shows an error saying that it receives no video.
  • Replugging the glasses resets them back to normal (non-ultrawide) mode, which works again

This is what I've tested so far:

  • Sway (Wayland)
  • i3/X11
  • latest kernel (7.0.5-arch1-1)
  • latest linux-firmware
  • latest XREAL firmware
  • different USB-C ports
  • forcing 60Hz

No change, the issue persists. Also running dmesg -w while switching to ultrawide prints nothing.

Did anyone else encounter similar issues? Should I just contact support directly?

If it's relevant, the hardware I am using is:

  • Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5
  • AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U
  • Radeon 780M
