I am new to riding lawnmowers overall. First time mowing my front lawn with a rider, specifically a classy John Deere l120 I got for free.

My concerns have been that the hill is about 15 feet tall and it’s about 1/4-1/3 acre total size. Going straight up the rear tires just spin and I know these l120s have weak transmissions so I have avoided that.
Going perpendicular to the hill has a lot of harsh angles and I fear tipping it over.
I was able to accomplish what’s done in the photos by taking the Same 2 easy paths up the hill and working my way across and down.
Is this the most efficient way or is there any recommendations besides a new mower?
I plan on finishing any small spots with my old push mower.
