Basically any song about competition or fight, but instead of having a motivational “I’m determined to win” tone, it’s more of an acknowledgment that not everyone can get what they want. Someone’s going to succeed, and someone’s going to fail.
These songs could be suspenseful and make the listener wonder who’s going to win, or they could have a tragic “I’m sorry it’s come to this” feeling where you wish everyone could win and are sad that’s not the case.
