IM SPILLING TEA HOTTER THAN THE VERTICA WATER!!! (grande in a venti cup rant)
i’m an ex-barista now so honestly, what’s holding me back. i am SO sick of the fact that the company will promote shitty ass people. recently a person was promoted from barista to asm with no shift experience at starbucks because they had “manager experience” at a completely different non-food related company that was franchise-owned. the company will literally disregard qualified employees wanting to promote saying they aren’t ready but yet this human was??? AND TO TOP IT OFF THEYRE YOUNGER THAN 23 AND WERE ORIGINALLY HIRED END OF 2023. age doesn’t really matter, but it adds to their need to seem big headed. anyway, this human is now power hungry trying to prove themselves in this position by writing up employees left and right and talking down to partners with 15+ years of experience like they don’t know how to do their job!!!! like bro this is who you want as a manager?? says so much about where the company is going. i’m so thankful i am out of the sirens hold and only hearing about this third party bc i would not be able to control myself. there’s a huge difference about wanting to correct any opportunities within the store and treating your team like they’re stupid.
