Worst experience in my trip
I(f24) am from Scotland and I've planned my summer trip throughout South-east asia for awhile and this year i could finally make it with some friends. I have visit some countries where my experience was generally good and some bad experience but thats just nit picking. Me and my friends usually plan our trip with local guides if available and so far it's been going great. I was in specific country as planned but wont name the country because I don't want to generalise anything or say anything against the particular country. So as we went on tour around different places for couple of days and things were going well for most part. And being someone from Scotland , me and friends usually stand out in Asian countries. So we do get attention but most part it's just people looking, nothing dangerous.
The situation when bad when the tour guide for that particular day wasnt available but was replaced by someone we're not familiar with but went ahead with the tour as planned. Thing turn bad when we had dinner back at the place we were staying and that's when the tour guide assaulted me while my friends went out to grab some stuffs from the near by food store. As soon as he was done he left immediately and I just took a shower because I felt so dirty and never told my friends about it. We left that country and now in a different country. I don't know what to do. I was looking forward to my trip to discover new place and culture and now this happens. I can't file a complaint as i already left the country and i actually don't want to because then my friends with come to know about it and will feel guilty or blame themselves for leaving me alone with him. Sorry if there are errors , my mind is all over the place. Hope the rest of my trip will be safe. Thanks for reading. Any advice to cope will he helpful.
