we had a young gentleman come out to measure for new flooring (yay finally!!!)

we have a modular home, a lot of cruddy carpet (puppy training) we want to get rid of! there's sheet vinyl as well that we wanted to replace. we even said we would rip everything up for them!

I dont think he measured everything? he did the kitchen and living room, i said i would move my dogs so he could do the bedroom and master bath, but he said it wasnt a problem 😗 i figured they may have basic floor plans for these types of homes!

we found sheet vinyl that has some extra grip for our aging dogs and were finally ready to make our house a home, we even got a lowes credit card 🥹

we get a call a few days later, and for "living room, kitchen, hallway" they quoted us $8500, $5k of which is labor due to "excessive prep needed" 😭 if we wanted cheaper plank vinyl it was going to be $5k with $3k of labor! The house is only 7 years old, and its our first house so maybe we're out of touch with how much things cost, but that seemed incredible for basically one big room and a hallway. 🥲
