Platinum Elite, looking for honest opinions between JW Marriott vs. Park Lane Hong Kong (5 nights, points stay)

Planning a 5-night stay in Hong Kong in mid-September and trying to decide between the JW Marriott and the Park Lane. Both are on HK Island which is where I want to be, but there's roughly a 100k point difference between them so I want to make sure I'm spending wisely.

A bit of context: I'll be attending events at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on a few of the days, so easy transit access matters. Evenings I'm planning to explore bars, restaurants, a few lounges, just wandering around really. So location and walkability are considered.

As a Platinum Elite I'm also hoping for a decent suite upgrade or at least a solid room, and the lounge access matters to me. My main concerns are:

- Room quality and cleanliness. Any recent stays? I've seen mixed things online but a lot of the reviews are older.

- Transit. Ease of getting around the island.

- Evening walkability. Which location puts me in a better spot for the nightlife side of things?

Is the JW worth the extra ~100k points over the Park Lane, or is the Park Lane punching above its weight for what it costs in points?

Would love to hear from anyone who's stayed at either recently, especially if you're Platinum or above and can speak to how the property treats status. Appreciate any honest takes.

*Also open to other hotel suggestions under the Marriott brand.*
