i have finally ascended with the damn amulet, actually taking my time and killing some mobs on each floor when i made a good enough build

i havent played the game in a while but ive been active on the subreddit and noticed how people had trouble finding all the dark gold, i dont think i ever had this issue... is there some inside joke i havent heard or are people just unlucky to be stuck at 39 so often?
