Hey everyone, I’ve been on preload for my second week now. Still on probation, but really hoping they keep me on. I’ve got a few questions — maybe dumb ones, but whatever.
When do you guys punch out? Right after you step away from the belt? Or do you go wash your hands/use the bathroom first and then punch out?
Is it true that you need 6 months of seniority before you can preload and do seasonal package car driving? Like… UPS can hire a seasonal driver off the street with zero experience, but a part‑timer suddenly has to meet full‑time transfer requirements?
I worked as a PVD last peak. I still have 5 hours of paid sick time from that. Can I actually use it? It’s weird — the paystub shows those 5 hours, but Time Off Viewer shows zero.
My building has just under 100 trucks. Is that considered a big building? Or pretty average? I keep seeing people say “depends on the size of your building,” so I’m trying to understand where mine falls.
Surprisingly, I’m actually enjoying the job.
