I've looked through the settings quite a bit today, so I thiiiink I would've seen it mentioned somewhere if it existed, but then again I also keep noticing things that I had not seen before, so maybe?
I know I can do different "styles" of highlights like underlining on top of the already highlighted text to make the important bits stand out more, but I'd prefer to just have less total text highlighted, and I also don't think that that would "work" anyhow since saved highlights seemingly won't save the underline in the actual "bookmark-note"-thing (and double-"anyhow" I'd also have a needless second bookmark that I don't think I can remove without also removing that visual underline, so that'd of course also get suuuper cluttered).
I did stop to just double check before posting n I actually did now notice that you can hit "edit text" on the highlight to delete things, but then it seems wayyyy tedious since you seemingly can't highlight chunks of text in that edit window to delete- at least unless I'm just missing something, "pressing n holding" on the text only let's you copy it for some reason, but so if you then instead try to just hold "backspace" to manually delete things, that also won't work since it quickly just auto-deletes everything behind the cursor, soo then I guess I'd have to spam the "backspace" over n over for a minute, which obviously isn't too feasible. ANNND lastly, that "deleted text" also still shows up as highlighted in the "book's" text, but that doesn't matter as much.
SOOOOO YEAH, am I just missing something or is this not possible? Thank you (if you're one of the two people to actually read that^ whole essay lol)!
