Sweep N Ghetsis E4 Alder Black/White
Completed the Unova leg of my Ironman regional hardcore nuzlocke today. I beat the first E4, N and Ghetsis then rematched the E4 and Alder because my runs technically don’t end until I am in the hall of fame. Team’s pictured below. Lost nobody during either E4 run however inbetween the first and second I unfortunately lost Tauros (OG) to a random crit from a trainer battle in postgame. I replaced Chandelure with Volcarona (static encounter) and Tauros with Amoongus who provided insane tempo control allowing for clean setup sweeps for the rest of the game. Shoutout to moxie Swaggy for bailing me out against Shantaul, Volcarona for sweeping entirely Alder and Caitlin, and praise the RNG gods for giving me a male rivalry haxorous that absolutely destroyed. Scariest thing was trying to neutralize a literal Zekrom. I played around that using chandelier actually by burning it and then pivoting into electabuzz, predicting a giga impact, then using the rest to setup with gliscor. Ghetsis was scary but haxorous swept after electabuzz setup. Bruno was honestly one of the harder matchups because of spamming stone edge it had so many crits.
Some fun tech I ran:
Wide lens hi jump kick on Scrafty made it 99% chance of hitting so ran with that and moxie for incredible snowball
Minimize with bright powder and confuse ray on chandelure
Slapped an eviolite on electabuzz and used it as a tanky status spreader with static light screen thunder wave and volt switch. This was nasty.
Resto chesto on Tauros
EV trained haxorous in speed which allowed me to run SWD instead of DD for setup. This neutralized any loss to attack from rivalry working against me.
For the love of the game I also ran it back on Cynthia in undella town and swept :) gliscor lead that one just like last time in Sinnoh
Bringing the final 6 with me to Hoenn in ORAS next. Gliscor has survived since the start of the campaign in Sinnoh/Platinum! Electabuzz has survived now since Johto/HGSS!
