how likely can i still apply for a job as an emt with a dui

i got arrested for a dui but haven’t been formally charged or convicted yet. i haven’t even been arraigned yet. but i want to know how poorly it will affect my chances of getting a future job as an EMT and if there’s anything (besides stop drinking, already doing that) that i can do to still find jobs in emergency services thank you!

i fucked up and drove drunk home. it was the most selfish and absolutely terrible things i could’ve done that day and i regret it. i want to know if there’s any way i can get it minimized or reduced because of this new law in oklahoma that mandates the felony offenses mean mandated jail time of up to 10 days. someone out there, is there any way i can get out of serving the 10 days? i’m proactively enrolling myself in DUI classes and AA ahead of my arraignment date. I just don’t want to go back to prison/jail please. it was aggravated because i also had weed in my system which is a felony charge in oklahoma too. but they searched my vehicle and didn’t find anything or anything on me. i had some property damage to a concrete barrier but moreso to my truck. i took a blood test. i am waiting for the blood work to come back and right now im just trying to find a good lawyer and see if i should check myself into inpatient rehab programs. any or all help/kind words would be great. thank you all so much
