I've been visiting China frequently the last two years and have gotten used to my CCP-mandated Pikmin Bloom breaks (🤣) as a vast majority of People’s Republic of China does not support Pikmin Bloom. Niantic games like PB and Pokémon Go however are quite popular in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan – imagine my surprise when on a day trip to Zhuhai, Guangdong, PRC from Macau I was able to play Pikmin Bloom!!
I figured I would plant some flowers until the Macau / Mainland boarder crossing, but ended up discovering full support of the app in the city, or at least at the Chimelong Hengqin Resort area where I was visiting. It's home to two record-breaking marine life theme parks, one of which is among the top ten most attended themeparks globally, and the highest attended in the country (even more than China's Disney and Universal parks). Would definitely recommend.
Also, as an avid theme park enthusiast and collector of theme park decor pikmin, I was thrilled to find that both theme parks have unique ticket decor (not to mention numerous wonderful postcards). Hopefully this area means more app support in major Chinese mainland metros!
