Went for my follow up with my colorectal doctor today and since I’m two months out, he wanted to do a digital exam to see if he could feel the tumor still. OMG, it hurt like hell! He said he couldn’t feel anything, and was pleased about that.

I can understand why my first exam hurt - I had a massive tumor. But why this one…if there were no detectable masses? Did radiation just shrink my butthole?? He wants me back in a month to do a scope but now I’m already panicking thinking about if it’s going to hurt worse (I read that the anoscope is like 2 frigging inches in diameter!) He did say if that doesn’t work they’ll do it at the surgery center next door with some light anesthesia. Maybe I should just go ahead and put that request in…
