Remember this post almost 2 years ago to the date?
I look at it in one of two ways. They didn't communicate well then, and they don't now. Not much changes. The other way to look at it is that 2 years ago, Pilestedt was strategic. He ignored Sony to bring the game to a larger market, then later begged for forgiveness.
What if the nonstop paid slop is a similar gambit? AH is trying to show Sony that "line goes up" alone is not sustainable. It's a bit of a tinfoil-hat take, but the similarities with 2 years ago are uncanny.
So what is to be done about this? In their Annual Shareholder Report, Sony states that their metric for game success is player counts. That's how the corporate evaluates studios. So, review bomb is good, but what if we actually left the game? Let the concurrent numbers drop for a bit. I hear Far Fat West is great, or we can go touch grass like the CEO said, it's summer after all.
So if you believe AH does not learn, or they are using us as good little soldiers, either way, logging out is most Democratic.
