My first Mosaic - please be kind!! I only have 2 days to complete.

my partners birthday this week and we also are completing on a new house. I really want to in the long term mosaic my own kitchen back splash. I had very limited time while my partner was away to make it. A few things i’d do better in future but i used old plates from second hand stores and a few tiles i got from a craft store. I’ve included my inspo - Rosie!!

I will be sealing it with a varnish, but due that being something which can be done very secretly- I will do that once I’ve given it to him.

My normal craft is sewing and this was really enjoyable. If anyone knows good places for starters to read/watch for improving let me know.

edit: Thank you all for your kind words!! Definitely makes me keen to do more. 🩷

I own an dedica 885 machine, use an K6 Kingrinder and bottomless portafilter.

When I try mixed up the coffee, before pulling a shot i have a funnel which keeps some grinds in but generally is quite messy. I would like a tool or a method which makes the whole process neater for tamping?

I live in The UK (if that matters) - what helps make your process neater?
