Hello,

I’m following up on my previous issues I was having while my 2025 G70 SP 3.3 was in for potential warranty problems.

TLDR from last post: Complained about service times, lack of communication, and unprofessionalism with Genesis dealership and started a Genesis corporate case to assist.

Anyways, Genesis corporate did absolutely nothing to assist and the dealership ended up saying my rear differential noises were “normal” and the metal shavings in the rear differential fluid was also “normal.” Mind you I took my car into repair shop 4/10 and didn’t get an official diagnosis until 5/5 stating that the car was ready for pickup. Talk about a waste of time!! It took them 25 days and the threat of a dealer buyback for them to just say “no issue,” mind you the LSD is LOUD groaning and not your normal noises you get like the manual suggests.

This is a luxury brand with subpar service and inadequate engineering for their LSD. What luxury car drives around groaning like it’s going to break any second? It’s embarrassing! I love the car too but I wish I would have gotten a sport advanced so I didn’t have to deal with this POS LSD!

Anyways, I would avoid Genesis of Commerce since they took almost a month to diagnose an issue and had to fire their previous service advisor because they were lying to customers and not following up.

As the title suggests I am quite stumped between these two combinations to select from. There is a $200 difference with the 5070 TI combination costing me $200 more than the 9070 XT.

At the end of the day the difference between $1800 and $2000 is quite negligible BUT, I want the best bang for my buck. I think the 5070 TI outperforms the 9070 XT and I also know the 9800X3D out performs the 7800X3D. They seem like they would balance each other out and the selection would go towards the 9070 XT build but I’m just not informed enough to make that decision.

It also cannot be ignored that unfortunately DLSS has an abundance more support on games than FSR. I know that FSR4 competes almost directly with DLSS 4 but only being available on roughly ~100 games vs ~1000+ games isn’t quite fair.

So with that in mind, $1800 vs $2000, same storage and same DDR5 6000 MHz RAM, what would you choose? Is it worth the $200 extra dollars to get a 5070 TI with worse CPU? Should I get the cheaper system and save for when the next big GPU comes out? Let me know your thoughts!

Assume all other specs are equal. Assume gaming in 1080p 240 Hz or (trying) 4K 120Hz or minimum 4K 60Hz.

I don’t know much about the AMD space and the last 3 computers I built were all intel/nvidia builds so I’m quite the novice in that realm but these seem like killer deals in today’s climate.

I sold my PC a little over 2 years ago to transition to a TV console build early in my relationship and also because I wasn’t gaming as much. Now that the relationship is more developed and with the introduction of the Steam Machine being on the horizon I have developed an interest in Linux based OS (specifically SteamOS with Bazzite). I have heard that Nvidia is poorly optimized on Linux systems and that AMD offers better performance.

I have never bought or owned a prebuilt but these seem hard to pass up on especially with the Steam Machine potentially being ~$1000.

Let me know what yall think.
