I never thought I would make it this far, but months later and I feel like I’m actually cured. Everyday activities don’t feel like torture anymore, I can hang out with friends and be… normal.

I ended up losing even more weight using retatrutide (glp peptide that reduces appetite, increases metabolism and improves insulin resistance), and I honestly think that was one of the biggest turning points for my acid reflux, I read that it causes reflux in some people so I was skeptical but personally I didn’t get almost any side effects(except some trouble with constipation but nothing magnesium citrate couldn’t fix lol). I also completely changed how I eat, I started eating much smaller meals instead of big heavy portions, which helped reduce the pressure in my stomach and the constant reflux episodes that were probably triggering everything in the first place.

I stayed on PPIs for about the first month and a half along with the ph water to deactivate the pepsin to let my throat and esophagus heal properly. During that time I didn’t expect instant results, it was more about giving my body time to recover from years of irritation. Over time I noticed I don’t get heartburn anymore, and the constant post nasal drip I used to deal with is completely gone.

I also made strict lifestyle changes that I didn’t think would matter at first but ended up being huge. I don’t eat within 3 hours of laying down anymore, I avoid lying flat after meals, I sleep with my head slightly elevated, and I try to avoid trigger foods that I noticed would set everything off. It’s basically just consistency now, nothing extreme, just discipline with timing and portion size. Now I can eat a almost normal diet (I eat out once a week more or less too) I just stay away from carbonated drinks, coffee, and dairy products (with the occasional slice of cheese or small cup of ice cream lol) with NO FLARE UPS.(you should still eat relatively clean on retatutride though I eat Whole Foods most of the time)

Been off ppi’s and the ph water for about a month and half now just retatrutide and I feel like I’ve been reborn.

Months later… I still feel normal. Please stay strong your life matters more than the human brain can conceptualize, YES YOU YOUR LIFE MEANS MORE ThAN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE COMBINED. I genuinely thought I was cursed and that my life was destined to fail and burn but it was just a test, I came out the other side as warrior… WE ALL ARE WARRIORS
