I spent this afternoon leveling my warrior. I got up to lvl 9 and got a few cool items along the way. The server went down, finally got back on about an hour later and I was reverted back to lvl 7! I’m missing gear and I have no idea what else is missing/ what I completed!
I’ve been enjoying the gameplay so far and I think this game has some promise. I know it’s in early access, but there are a few things that need to be addressed with priority if Farever is going to have any longevity
Im not going to go into detail about the server stability issues. I’m sure they are working on resolving this.
One of the things that needs to be fixed is the group loot system. There isn’t one. If you are in a group and down a boss, it’s a free for all. Everyone shares the same loot from the chest and anyone can pick it all up. No roll off on contested items and it’s not personal loot. One bad actor can ninja every item and if they are quick about it no one else can tell what dropped.
Another thing that should be fixed is the chat system. It’s atrocious. Take a page out of other MMOs and give us slash commands to open up chat. /p for party chat, /a for all, /l for local. Opening up the drop down every time you need to chat in a different chat group is a pain.
Also, please work on group functionality. Give us a way to invite people who aren’t in our proximity. /invite playername, or right clicking a name in chat to give us the option to inv in chat.
