Waze Really?

Long Time Waze User.

I’m taking my usual route this morning to work. I’m close to my Wawa stop. I needed gas and my coffee. Anyway, I’m about a third of the way there and I receive a route change and a notification saying traffic is building.

I don’t really care because I’m an early riser and I’m at work usually 30 minutes prior to start. So, I ignore the route change. I get to my Wawa stop. I fill up and grab my coffee.

I jump back on the road and guess what. There’s no traffic building. Actually, it’s Friday and ever since the pandemic the traffic on Friday’s hasn’t been the same. I get to work earlier than usual.

Why would Waze try to take me a different way and tell me that traffic is building when that wasn’t the case at all? I know it changes according to events occurring such as traffic due to congestion, construction, etc…

Waze lied 🤥
