I’ve had this thing lying around for the last 15 years. I’ve never taken on a custom project aside from adjustments or strings. I don’t currently have a PJ and really want one. I figure this bass is worth nothing but for about $300 and some sweat equity, I can get it to sound really good and look pretty cool. Still, I won’t be able to do anything about the thin, crappy neck (although I’d probably refinish it) that looks like it wasn’t even bolted on correctly.

I don’t know. Should I do it or just wait until my wife lets me spend an extra $200 and buy a used squier pj?

Has anyone modded a gio who has advice?
