This video shows how using metatiles allowed Gamefreak to fit Kanto into the tiny cartridge. There is a metatile plugin available, but I was wondering if there are any other ways to cram more game into the cartridge.

Also, how much space is in these cartridges? I don’t have the links on hand, but one Wikipedia page says 8 megaBYTES and another says 8 megaBITS.
