Had an iron test in Jan, ferritin level was 9.

Told to take an iron supplement for 3 months and retest. Took Maltofer, retest shows I have gone down a point to 8.

GP is now going scorched earth and wants me to get a scope done on stomach and a colonoscopy to find why it hasn’t responded and get an infusion.

Fine with the infusion, even though it’s going to cost me $400 but not fine with the rest at this point in time.

With DVT and PE last year I am just over being poked and prodded and constant time off work for Dr’s appointments.

I did take Ferrograd C a few years back which did get my levels back up.

I have also heard of a lot of people having issues with low iron whilst on Eliquis, both male and female.

Has anyone else failed on Maltofer and tried a different supplement with success?

I kind of want to try something else before invasive testing…

Hoping someone might be able to share their experience.

I was fitted with a farrow wrap this morning by a Lymphedema Specialist to try to see if size will come down before I’m measured for garments. Told to wear them 23/7 for the next four weeks.

Have the normal they are uncomfortable, hot and itch, but have also started getting cramps in that leg.

Had anyone else experienced the cramps?

Does it improve with time? Does your body adjust?
