Can't decide how far to with this build. Is it worth going forged? I have to buy pistons regardless, any experience with China factory Mahle or kingtec forged bits? Experience with cut ring gasket vs k64 spacer? Is forged overkill? Ive read stock engines are good for 550whp if tuned right. Any input would be great! Thanks!

So the last engine I rebuilt recently had an injector stick open and score a wall. Its only got 10k miles on the rebuild, so I figured I'd do it all over again and swap my good parts on to a new block. But it's like now that I'm here might as well build it in preparation for boost. I just timeserted it(the nice, long serts) and got vr38 main studs to use as head studs.

I have to buy pistons and my rods have 310k miles on them. Does anyone have experience with Chinese Mahle pistons and boost?

Does anyone have experience with Chinese kingtec forged rods and pistons? Is going forged overkill? People say stock engines tuned properly hold to 550whp.

What the general consensus on headgaskets for dropping compression. Cut ring or k64 spacer? Is dropping compression worth it?

Does anyone have torque specs for the head studs, main cap studs, and arp rod bolts?

I just don't really want to have to do this again and looking to spend money where it needs to be spent. Any insight from the boosted community would be great. Thanks!
