I'm worried Patch-16-1-10056 sets a bad precedent for the game.
RTS games are some of the most sensitive to balance changes, with balance often finding resolution in strategies and metas. We just had a patch come out, as well as a new civ that nobody knows how to play yet. We didn't have any data about any of this, only people's highly vocal anecdotes and theory crafting in a vacuum.
Devs pushed a hotfix patch with balance changes in it that in many ways are larger than we oft see for season patch civ changes, based pretty much entirely from people's loudest complaints about what was too strong/too weak, because that's the only metric we have to go on right now.
IDK why people are celebrating that like it's a good thing. Maybe my opinion, but I have always believed balance is best served via data driven incrementalism. Not forum whine.
