My snail Pancake escaped his tank and fell about 3 feet onto the floor yesterday when no one was home. My partner found him after having been out of the house for 2 hours. My partner immediately put him back in his tank and when I got home I moved him to a smaller container with a calcium tablet. There is a crack in his shell, but it didn’t create a hole. He wasn’t moving at all last night but this morning he came out of his shell a little bit. He doesn’t look so good :( it looks like there was some damage to his mantel but I’m not sure if it’s fatal or not. Wondering if he’s in pain, if we can heal him or if it’s more humane to euthanize. Please be kind, we’re devastated and love our little Pancake.
