Long story short: One of the ferals I was feeding died to mysterious causes in January. I tried my best to help him but it happened really fast. So I buried him in a shallow grave in my yard while I was just getting over the super flu that was so popular last year. The ground was semi frozen and about a foot down (30 cm) was the best I could do at the time.

Fast forward to mid April: I'm pretty sure a fox, dog, or other canid (maybe coyote) dug up the corpse. It wasn't a pretty sight to behold but the boy was still intact and just laying beside the hole with no bites detected. I did my best to rebury him and bought some garden soil to refill the hole. Then I placed a stump over the grave to prevent further canid digging. It didn't work. Saw some paw marks today near the stump. I'm not sure what else to do.

I wanna respect the corpse of Joey Chestnut (he was a champion eater). I want the worms to get him, not the wolves. Any suggestions that don't involve champion level of digging? Is there something that will mask the smell for a canid?

It's hard writing this. On one hand I'm asking how to respect an almost friend (it was so close before he was ill). On the other I'm asking how best to hide a body in my backyard.

TLDR: What's the best way to bury a cat without dogs digging the corpse up?

He says to the bartender "give me ten shots of your finest whisky."

The bartender reaches for the dusty bottle of Macallan on the top shelf and proceeds to pour the man's ten shots.

Without wasting a breath, the man downs all ten shots, one right after the other.

"Holy hell! I've never seen anyone do that before. What's the occasion?" the bartender says.

"I don't have any money" says the man.
