LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
Up to 1,000$ usd

Are you open to refurbs/used?
Not really

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

  1. performance
  2. Battery life (needs to last whole school day)

How important is weight and thinness to you?
Dose t really matter

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
Not sure, because never had a laptop. Still wouldn’t want something small. (Sorry I know its vague, but I don’t really know this stuff)

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Not sure what exactly will run on it, but anything needed for ME Engineers students. Stuff like auto cad probably.

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Minecraft/Terraria. (Smooth, sorry I know vague again)

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Reliable build quality

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I am incoming college freshman going for ME Engineering. I assume I need something strong. I also want something that will last me my whole college career. Also was thinking about getting some kind of Lenovo (heard a lot of good stuff about them).

I am incoming freshman to college, and I am not sure what to get. I am going for ME engineering so I assume I need something strong. I have a budget of 1,000$ and want something that will last me all through my college career. I don’t think I want a mac, since I have been using windows for years. I am considering some kind of Lenovo, like think pad, Yoga, etc. they seem to be recommended a lot. Thanks for any help.
