I recently had to say goodbye to my cat of 11 years. I’m just now getting the courage to start the emotional task of cleaning up the house and putting away the litter boxes, beds, and food bowls.

I have quite of bit of cat food, both wet and dry, that is left over. The dry cat food is in a couple of large bags that are already open, and I have a case of unopened canned wet food. Is there any place in the SLC area I can take this food as a donation? Will any places take opened/used dry kibble? I really hate to just toss it if I know it can go to a good cause.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you!
