How can I clip my cat’s nails?

I have an almost 10 year old orange tabby cat who refuses to get his nails trimmed. He hates being picked up as well.

I also just adopted a small brown tabby cat who is still a kitten, I’m not sure how old he is but he is a wild card and doesn’t want me to touch his paws either.

I’ve never trimmed a cats nails before. The vet usually trims it but I don’t want to keep paying a fee for that and going through the hassle of putting them in a carrier.

What can I do to try and clip their nails?

They aren’t aggressive babies at all. They wont get too defensive and try to attack me but they will smack my hand away or bite me with a little bit of force if I keep touching their paws a certain way.

Hi!

I’m just making a thread to see if anyone has any ideas that they want to share that helps make their deliveries run more smoothly.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do when it’s raining to avoid getting the customers groceries wet while carrying their bags back to my car?
