Ok, so I'll start by saying that Insym's panic got to me a bit 'cause while I know he's right on everything in terms of his concerns. I also know (and funnily, I think Insym himself has forgotten that convo with CJ on the Tanglewood rework) that the devs are very aware of what everyone loves and feelings regarding gameplay, etc. Plus, I know that CJ watches Insym's commentary videos because he answers questions and theories from him from those videos when they go on stream together before Insym even asks him. So I very much imagine CJ laughing at Insym's panic right now because he basically said he did during the Tanglewood rework.
Anywho, once again, I agree with Insym that a sanity watch with everyone's sanity on it doesn't look appealing to me. But after looking at the screenshots, I have this wild theory that maybe the watch doesn't actually give sanity. Idk, the circles on both of the closeups here aren't aligned. Like, if it was everyone's sanity, it would be hard to guess the average or even read. And on the 2nd one, we can see the red circle fade at the top and brighten again on the left and same thing with the green although the bottom might be a different colour, which still goes to my point of being hard to read if it was all players' sanity. I certainly wouldn't be able to tell from a quick glance if we're about to get hunted or not if all the circles aren't starting and ending on the same point which doesn't seem to be the case in these screenshots.
I just feel like we might be getting trolled just a bit, especially after the Tanglewood rework. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Luckily we won't have to guess for too long.
