I don’t like it, but I’m getting used to it.

Being alone used to bother me a lot more. Now it’s just… normal. And that’s what worries me. Not the loneliness itself, but how familiar it’s starting to feel. I don’t know if that means I’m adapting or just giving up in a quiet way.

Old recipe books feel like little time capsules

Found an old cookbook at home and honestly it was more interesting than I expected.

The recipes, handwriting, stains on the pages, little notes in the margins… it weirdly feels like looking into someone’s everyday life from years ago.

Also old recipes are so confident

what vegan meal surprised you by being way better than the non vegan version?

before trying more vegan food i honestly expected most vegan versions of meals to just taste “acceptable” compared to the original. like something you eat because its healthier or fits your lifestyle not because its actually better. but some vegan meals completely surprised me and genuinely tasted just as good or even better than the non vegan versions i grew up eating
especially certain pasta dishes desserts and comfort foods where i barely even noticed anything was missing. i think a lot of people who arent vegan still imagine vegan food as boring repetitive or flavorless which honestly doesnt match a lot of the food ive tried recently at all. now im curious what vegan meal completely changed your expectations or shocked you by being way better than you thought itd be

High school felt way more important back then than it does now

In high school everything felt massive. One embarrassing moment could ruin your whole week

Grades, popularity, relationships, fitting in… it all seemed like the most important thing in the world at the time.

Now looking back, most people barely remember half of it. Kinda funny how dramatic it all felt when we were younger.

I feel like a lot of finance advice in Australia is either super complex or chasing trends.

Curious about the opposite — what’s your simple, boring strategy that’s actually worked over time?

Things like saving habits, investing regularly, sticking to a plan, etc.

Trying to focus less on hype and more on what’s sustainable long-term.

I’ve noticed that when I climb with others, I sometimes push harder and try things I wouldn’t try alone. But at the same time, I can also get distracted or compare myself too much. Climbing alone feels more focused, but maybe less motivating. What works better for you?
