I’ve had constipation most of my adult life and I’ve been hospitalized three times for twisted bowels because of it.

I started keto in December (lost almost 25 pounds) and now have normal BMs almost daily.

I thought my constipation came from dairy, but I’m eating it regularly.

I have majorly increased my intake of insoluble fiber through roasted broccoli, but I’ve always eaten fruits and veggies.

Could it be the lack of sugar and/or refined flours?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m getting ready to end keto for a low carb diet, and I don’t want the constipation to come back.

Two weeks ago, I (54f) went to a plastic surgeon for Botox and filler for my nasolabial folds & marionette lines (recently made more pronounced due to keto diet weight loss).

I have a deep, one inch scar above/on my lip and as I’ve gotten older, it has gotten more visible. The Dr offered to fill it too; I said yes but was shocked by how painful it was. Made sense to me though because he stretched the scar tissue. The discomfort from Botox and other derm fillers have subsided, but this still continues to be uncomfortable (and it’s a little itchy). It’s also lumpy.

I accidentally scrapped my upper lip with with my bottom teeth and now I have sore, white spots appearing on my lips. The discomfort feels similar to the start of a canker sore, but that’s not what this is.

Thoughts? I’m leaving in a few days for an international trip so it’s making me little paranoid.
